  • Where can I get a Technical CAD drawing?

We can help. All we need is a sketch or a part to measure and we can create a computer aided design drawing to send to you in PDF format.

  • Can you make my pencil sketch into a 3D model drawing?

Yes, we can re-produce a sketch into a 3D model to bring your sketch to life and even change it into a 2D CAD (Computer Aided Design) drawing with dimensions if required.

  • I have some large paper drawings, can you convert them to Technical Drawings? CAD drawings?

Yes, if the paper drawings are sent to us we can copy them onto CAD drawings and send the files to you in PDF format and have them printed off and sent to you if required.

  • I have parts on my machine that are broken and wearing, can you measure them and draw them up so we can get them made?

Yes, if you are within our travelling area we can come out to you and measure the parts to draw them. If you are further away you can send the parts to us to draw up and we can send them back to you. We can also look at the parts to see if we can modify them in such a way that they will work more efficiently and have a longer life.

  • I would like to develop a new product for market. Is this something you can help with?

Yes we can help with this. We will work with you to develop your ideas into 3D model designs, 3D prototypes and drawings to enable you to get them manufactured.

  • I need a gauge designed to measure one of my component features, can you do this?

Yes, we can design mechanical gauging for you or assist with the mechanical side of a complete gauging system. We can visit you if you are close to gather information needed or you could e-mail the details to us. We will keep you informed with all design development so that you are involved in the decision making to ensure the gauge works exactly as you would like.

  • I am designing and making an exhaust system, can you test the flow path?

Yes, we can model exhausts, in takes or any pipework that will have air or water flow to show what the flow paths will be and if there are any areas that may need to be redesigned.

  • Where can I get the part you have drawn for me made or manufactured?

We can find the most competitive price from our manufacturers to get it made for you and can also arrange delivery to you - depending on size.

  • I am a plumber and have some plumbing layout sketches, can you put these on 2D computer drawings?

Yes, we can reproduce your sketches to produce CAD drawings to match the sketches you have provided.

  • What information would I need to provide if design work was to be remote working?

A design brief or description of what you would like assistance with, any photographs of similar parts or of what you would like modelled up along with dimensions and specific tolerances required.

If it is a fixture/gauge/tool for a certain product, we would require the product dimensions as well as anything that was related to or going to be used with that fixture/gauge/tool. Discussions would be ongoing to determine the exact requirements as the project moved along.

  • Where can I get a fixture designed to hold my product while I assemble it?

We can help with this. We can visit if you are in our travelling area or we can work with photos, sketches and dimensions to lay out jigs or fixtures to help with the manufacture or assembly of your products.

  • How will I be able to open the computer drawings to view them?

2D Drawings are saved as a PDF for viewing on PDF viewing software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. 

3D Images are saved as JPEG images which can be opened up with the standard windows imaging viewer.

3D models can be saved as either a 3D PDF which can be opened with a PDF viewing software where you will be able to rotate and move the model around, or as an E-drawing file which you can also move and rotate but is an executable file for which you will not require a viewer.

  • Can you make CAD drawings to lay out my back garden and find out how many paving slabs I would need for my paths and patio?

Yes this is something we can do, with details of the design you have in mind as well as garden dimensions and paving slab details. We can provide a 2D plan drawing to work to as well as a 3D image to see what they will look like when laid.

  • Could you provide me with an office layout from my sketches?

Yes, with office dimensions and details of the furniture you will be have, I can provide a layout as a 2D plan as well as 3D image.

  • I have a sketch to put forward for planning permission, is this something you can draw up on computer to look more professional?

Yes, as long as it's not an architectural design, we can reproduce the sketch on CAD for you.

  • Would you be able to produce a table layout for my wedding?

Yes we can produce a layout for you. We would just need all the details and the theme of your wedding so we can match your decor. We can supply the layout up to A0 size 1189 x 841mm or 46.8 x 33.1 in.

  • Its a relatives birthday soon, could you make a poster or banner?

Yes we can design and have a banner printed off  for you. If you could provide us with any photos you would like on it and any other details we can make it as personal as you wish. We can supply the poster up to A0 size 1189 x 841mm or 46.8 x 33.1 in. If you would like it laminated, we can provide your poster up to A2 size 594 x 420mm or 23.4 x 16.5 in.

  • Are you able to 3D print a design to test it as a prototype?

Yes, we can print any design up to a certain size (254 x 152 x 170mm or 10 x 6 x 6.7 in.) or in parts to glue together so a design can be checked for function or fit before it is manufactured. Head to our 3D Printing page for more details on colours and materials.

  • I am an architect and have a lot of old paper drawings I would like drawn up on CAD.

We can reproduce fully detailed architectural drawings by copying them onto CAD as they are on the paper and sending PDF files to you as well as having them printed on large paper if required and sent to you.
