When she was 3 years old, she developed a blood clot on her spine which paralysed her rear legs. The future seemed bleak as she could not walk at all, but we were encouraged to carry out intense physiotherapy and hydrotherapy and with a lot of hard work from us and especially from Storm, she began to slowly get movement back and within 7 months she was walking unaided, albeit with a bad limp. She carried this limp throughout her life and although her condition brought on a lot of other illnesses - for which she received the very best care, she always remained a very happy and content dog.

Storm was never in any pain, but as she got older, you could see she struggled with some things. Her determination was second to none and she never let anything stop her from doing what she wanted.

 

 Sadly, when she was 9, she passed away very suddenly.

We were understandably devastated but also so proud

and had immense admiration for her. She had achieved

so much in her life that we didn’t think possible and in

turn truly enriched ours.

 

   So naturally, the first name we thought of for our own

business was Storm, as a tribute to how much she’d given

us and as a reminder of her determination and strength

so that we may strive to achieve the same within our business.
